Since 7 August 2025, Australia sets English requirements per skill for both PTE and IELTS. So the question is no longer which test gives a higher overall number. It is which test lets you clear every individual minimum. For many students, especially those who want fast results and consistent marking, PTE is the better choice.

Who usually does better in PTE
